Documentation for ទំព័រគំរូ:fr-pron. [edit]
This page contains usage information, categories, interwiki links and other content describing the template.

This template is used for the headword line of French pronouns. It uses Module:fr-headword as a back-end.

It should be used just under the 'Pronoun' header for French words. For example, on elle:

Noun
|head=; |head2=; ...
The head word(s), if different from the page name, or to link to individual words. Note that the default behavior with multiword and multipart pronouns is to split the pronoun intelligently and link the individual parts (see below), so this isn't normally needed.
|g= or |1=; |g2=; ...
The gender(s), which should be one of m, f, m-p or f-p. It also accepts mf as a shortcut for m|g2=f.
|f=; |f2=; ...
Feminine equivalent pronoun(s), if any.
|fqual=; |fqual2=; ...
Optional qualifier to display before |f=, |f2=, etc. This can be used to insert a usage note like "rare", "deprecated", "archaic", etc. The qualifier should match the feminine equivalent pronoun; thus, e.g., if |f2= but not |f= requires a qualifier, use |fqual2= but not |fqual=.
|m=, |m2= etc.
Masculine equivalent pronoun(s), if any.
|mqual=; |mqual2=; ...
Optional qualifier to display before |m=, |m2=, etc. See |fqual= above.
|mp=, |mp2= etc.
Masculine plural equivalent pronoun(s), if any.
|mpqual=; |mpqual2=; ...
Optional qualifier to display before |mp=, |mp2=, etc. See |fqual= above.
|fp=, |fp2= etc.
Feminine plural equivalent pronoun(s), if any.
|fpqual=; |fpqual2=; ...
Optional qualifier to display before |mp=, |mp2=, etc. See |fqual= above.
|p=, |p2= etc.
Plural equivalent pronoun(s), if any. Use this in preference to |mp= and |fp= if the masculine and feminine plural forms are the same.
|pqual=; |pqual2=; ...
Optional qualifier to display before |p=, |p2=, etc. See |fqual= above.
|splitdash=1
If given, autosplitting is extended to hyphenated words in multiword expressions.

The module that implements this template (and most other French headword templates) uses an intelligent autosplitting algorithm to link portions of multipart and multiword expressions, as follows:

 • The module will automatically split and link distinct space-separated words, similarly to head; hence, tout le monde will be linked as tout le monde.
 • It also splits on apostrophes in the middle of words and includes the apostrophe in the preceding portion. Hence, n'importe quoi will be linked as n'importe quoi. (An exception is made for three words, quelqu'un, c'est and aujourd'hui, which will not be split if they occur as part of larger expressions.)
 • In addition, parts of hyphenated compounds in single-word expressions will be linked individually, e.g. grand-chose will be linked as grand-chose. Hyphenated compound words will not be split if they occur in multiword expressions unless |splitdash=1 is specified, since the compound itself might be a valid word.
